The Florence County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page is back after its removal in January.
The department has posted several press releases and announcements about crimes and happenings within Florence County recently.
This comes three months after the page was suddenly taken down. Days after that, the sheriff’s office announced it would now send notifications and relevant information to the public through the FCSO app.
It’s not clear why the Facebook page was brought back but the new page was created on April 6, the same day a “Kenney Boone for Sheriff” Facebook page was created.
The incumbent will be running for re-election in 2020. Several others have already announced their intentions to run against him.
