MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – An attorney representing Jenelle Evans says a criminal domestic violence charge against the ‘Teen Mom 2’ reality TV show star has been dismissed.

Evans was expected to appear in court Thursday at 5 p.m. to face her latest criminal charge. A News13 crew inside of the hearing says she was not present.

Evans turned herself into police on May 28 after having a Criminal Domestic Violence arrest warrant out on her. Police said she assaulted her ex-boyfriend.

According to a Myrtle Beach Police report, Evans went to Nathan Griffith’s home on Brewster Street and got into a verbal argument.

Griffith told police Evans called him first and said she was damaging his car and wanted him to come outside.

Once Griffith went outside, Evans said “now I know where you live,” the report said.

Griffith told police that Evans then assaulted him and began to try and choke him while digging her fingernails into his neck.

Griffith was then able to get away from Evans by going back inside his home and locking the door, the report said.

Evans banged on the door and repeatedly demanded that Griffith let her in, according to the report.

She began screaming “he has my phone and won’t give me back my son,” the report said.

Evans eventually left the scene.

Police said Griffith did appear to have scratches around his neck and a ripped t-shirt.

Attorney Amy Lawrence, who represents Evans, tells News13 her client is “ready to move forward” and is excited to graduate from college in two weeks. Lawrence says Evans has been taking classes with Miller-Motte Technical College.

Lawrence added expungement papers have already been signed.
