A front has dropped into the area this morning and will stay stalled through the day. This will bring a chance for showers through the morning and some cooler temperatures well inland today while areas south and west of the front will be on the warmer side. Skies will stay mostly cloudy today with only a slight chance for a few showers this afternoon. The front will lift north as a warm front overnight into Sunday. This will shift our winds to the south ahead of a cold front. Skies will again stay mostly cloudy but highs will be in the upper 70s to near 80. A broken line of showers will move through Sunday evening and a couple rumbles of thunder can’t be ruled out. While the ingredients for a few strong storms Sunday evening are there, moisture will be limited. However, if a stronger shower or storm could develop, it could produce some gusty winds.

High pressure builds in Monday and sticks around for much of the week. Skies will be mostly sunny and temps will be near average with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s. Another cold front arrives Friday.

Today: Mostly cloudy, isolated showers. 67 for parts of the Pee Dee, upper 50s to low 60s Border Belt. Mid 60s coast.
Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy, areas of fog. Lows 56-60.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy with showers in the evening. Highs in the upper 70s.
