The period of sunshine and cool temps is over as a series of fronts and storm systems move through the southeast. Clouds will begin to move in today as moisture returns. A few showers will move inland from the coast this afternoon, but most will stay dry. Temperatures will be on thew rise over the next few days. Widespread showers and a few rumbles of thunder are possible throughout the day Friday. The rain will move out for Saturday with another front bringing the rain back for Sunday. The chance for showers will continue each day through next Wednesday. The highest rainfall amounts are likely inland, west of the I-95 corridor with totals of 2 to 4 inches expected. Closer to the beach 1 to 3 inches are possible through next week.
