Warm temperatures with partly cloudy skies with be the headline for this week. A ridge is building into the western Atlantic that will keeps winds mostly southerly bringing in warmer air and keeping any fronts that try to approach to the north of us. Highs on Monday will be in the low 70s, by Tuesday they’ll be in the mid to upper 70s and by Wednesday, Thursday and Friday highs will be in the low 80s, especially inland. Sometime by the end of the weekend a cold front will try to approach the Carolinas and move through which would bring us a chance for showers and cooler air but the timing is still in question. If the ridge holds strong the front will stay at bay but if the ridge breaks down, the front will slide through.

Tonight, mostly cloudy and mild. Lows 50 inland, 52 beaches.

Monday, partly cloudy skies with an isolated showers. Highs 72 inland, 70 beaches.

Tuesday, mostly sunny and warm. Highs in the mid 70s to near 80.
