A strong cold front will approach Thursday and stall out over the Carolinas. Showers and storms will move through the Pee and the Border Belt overnight tonight as the front moves in. As the front stalls out overhead, the lingering boundary will produce showers and storms through the first half of the weekend. One or two of the storms on Thursday and Thursday night could be stronger with the possibility of damaging wind gusts. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy the whole time and temperatures will be warm and muggy. Overnight lows will be in the low to mid 70s with highs in the low to mid 80s each day through Saturday. A second, stronger cold front moves in Saturday and will push all the moisture to the south as this one clears the Carolinas. Slightly cooler, drier, less humid air will stick around through the beginning of next week with highs in the low to mid 80s and overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s.
