Less widespread showers and storms are expected for Thursday and into the weekend. The flow of deep tropical moisture into the Carolinas will move away allowing for slightly drier air to move in on Thursday, and we will see more sunshine. There will still be a chance for rain Thursday through the weekend, but the showers and thunderstorms will be scattered and mainly in the afternoons and evenings. With more sunshine, high temperatures will be back to normal in the upper 80s and low 90s through the weekend. The chance for widespread showers, thunderstorms and heavy rain will return next week.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy and warm. Lows 72-74 inland, 76 beaches.

Friday: Partly sunny with sct’d storms. Highs 87-92.
