Rain chances stay elevated through the end of the work week before a break from the tropical moisture arrives. Tonight and through Friday, rain chances will stay elevated in the forecast as the tropical moisture continues to stream in from the south. High temperatures will stay a few degrees below normal in the mid to upper 80s. High pressure offshore will start to build into the Carolinas Friday night. This will push the best chance for showers and thunderstorm to our west, and will allow drier weather to move into the eastern Carolinas for the weekend. The weekend looks nice with sunshine and temperatures back to normal. There will be a chance for a pop up storm, but most places will stay dry. More typical summer weather will continue into next week.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy with coastal showers. Lows 76 beaches, 74 inland.
