The higher than normal chance for showers and thunderstorms will continue for the next several days. Tropical moisture will continue to move northward through the Carolinas for the next few days. It will stay mostly cloudy tonight through Thursday with showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will stay a few degrees below normal in the mid to upper 80s. High pressure offshore will start to build back to the west by the end of the week. This will push the best chance for showers and thunderstorm to our west, and will allow drier weather to move into the eastern Carolinas for the weekend. The weekend looks nice with sunshine and temperatures back to normal. There will be a chance for a pop up storm, but most places will stay dry. More typical summer weather will continue into next week.
