The high chance for showers and thunderstorms will continue through the rest of the week. Tropical moisture will continue to stream northward into the Carolinas today and through Saturday. This will keep skies mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms. Sunday and into Monday, an area of high pressure offshore will strengthen. This will bring more sunshine and a lower chance for rain. We will still see rain these days, but it will be more scattered, and mainly late in the day. With more sunshine, it will heat up to start next week, with some spots hitting 90. Tropical moisture may return with higher rain chances for the middle and end of next week.
