Hot, humid weather will continue this week with low rain chances. High pressure offshore will stay put and control our weather. We will see sunshine mixed with some clouds, and temperatures will stay above normal with highs in the upper 80s and low to mid 90s. Night time lows will fall into the 70s, and there will be patchy fog at night. Isolate showers and storms will develop each day, starting along the coast and pushing inland during the afternoons.

Tonight: mostly clear, warm & muggy. Lows 70-74 inland, 74-76 beaches.
Labor Day: Mostly sunny hot and humid. Highs 94 inland, 88 beaches.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, hot and humid. Highs in the upper 80s and low 90s.

Tropical Outlook: Tropical Storm Florence is holding strength as a tropical storm in the eastern Atlantic. It is forecast to stay a tropical storm as it continue on a westward track before turning off to the northwest. Right now, there is no threat to the U.S. but we’ll continue to monitor Florence’s intensity and track as a few models take it a little closer to the eastern seaboard as of Sunday night.

The second area is a developing tropical wave north of Cuba. This area is expected to form into depression tonight or tomorrow and continue strengthening as it moves into the Gulf of Mexico. This storm will likely be named Gordon over the next couple of days. No impacts to the Carolinas are expected but it will bring lots of moisture and rain to portions of Florida and the Gulf Coast States this week.
