Hot, humid weather will continue this week with isolated storms each day. High pressure is not budging this week and continues to control our weather. We will see sun and clouds each day, and temperatures will stay above normal with highs in the upper 80s and low to mid 90s. Night time lows will fall into the 70s, and there will be patchy fog at night. Isolate showers and storms will develop each day, starting along the coast and pushing inland during the afternoons. This pattern will continue through much of this week with a front approaching this weekend. Showers and storms could be a little more widespread Saturday and Sunday with the front in the area.
Tonight: Mostly clear, warm & muggy. Lows 72-74 inland, 75-77 beaches.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, hot and humid. Highs 94 inland, 88 beaches.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a few showers and storms. Highs in the upper 80s to near 90.
Tropical Outlook: Tropical Storm Florence is holding strength as a tropical storm in the eastern Atlantic. It is forecast to stay a tropical storm as it continue on a westward track before turning off to the northwest. Right now, there is no threat to the U.S. but we’ll continue to monitor Florence’s track especially heading into early next week.
The second storm is Tropical Storm Gordon moving into the Gulf of Mexico. No impacts to the Carolinas are expected but it will bring lots of moisture and rain to portions of Florida and the Gulf Coast States this week.
