Today’s rain is moving away, but there is a chance for more rain over the weekend. The storm system that brought the heavy rain to the coast, and showers to the Pee Dee will move away tonight, taking the rain with it. Tomorrow looks like a nice day with sunshine and temperatures near normal. Scattered thunderstorms will develop late in the day, and continue through the evening. A better chance for rain and thunderstorms will return on Sunday. This wet weather will continue through next week, and heavy rain and flooding will be a concern, especially by the middle of next week.

Tonight, mostly cloudy with rain ending. Lows in the low 70s.

Tomorrow, partly sunny, warm and humid with scattered thunderstorms late. Highs 92 inland, 88 beaches.

Sunday, partly sunny with showers and thunderstorms. Highs 85-90.
