Rain chances come down slightly heading into the weekend. High pressure will build over the Carolinas and while neither day will be completely dry, both days will see less widespread activity and not quite as heavy downpours. Sunday will likely be drier than Saturday as well. Because most areas will see more sunshine and less rain and clouds, temperatures will climb into the upper 80s at the beaches and low 90s inland. The slightly drier trend will continue through the beginning of next week before rain chances go back up by Wednesday and Thursday.

Tonight: Few showers & storms, areas of fog. Lows 70-73 inland, 74 beaches.
Saturday: Partly cloudy with sct’d showers and storms. Highs 91 inland, 87 beaches.
Sunday: Mostly sunny with isolated storms. Highs in the upper 80s and low 90s.
