The heat will stay elevated into the weekend. An isolated shower or storm is possible overnight tonight but most areas should stay dry. Morning lows Saturday will be in the low to mid 70s. Temps will heat up quickly on Saturday with a lot of sunshine to start the day. Scattered showers and storms will develop in the afternoon. Highs will climb into the low to mid 90s with “Feels like” temps in the upper 90s and triple digits. Stay cool and hydrated both days this weekend.
A cold front will move into the area Sunday keeping scattered thunderstorms in the forecast. Another hot and humid day is expected but it will not be a washout. Temperatures will cool a bit behind this front with highs dropping into the 80s next week, and much lower humidity.
