A front is dropping in from the north this evening leading to rain across the Carolinas. These showers will stick around overnight and through some of the morning hours before clearing out midday. Skies will stay mostly cloudy Saturday but temperatures will warm into the upper 60s. A few northern spots could stay on the cool side as the front may not lift all the way north.

Sunday will be even warmer ahead of a cold front. Skies will again stay mostly cloudy but highs will be in the upper 70s to near 80. A broken line of showers will move through Sunday evening and a couple rumbles of thunder can’t be ruled out. While the ingredients for a few strong storms Sunday evening are there, moisture will be limited. However, if a stronger shower or storm could develop, it could produce some gusty winds.

High pressure builds in Monday and sticks around for much of the week. Skies will be mostly sunny and temps will be near average with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s. Another cold front arrives Friday.
