Slightly cooler weather will move in today before the heat returns by the end of the week. A weak cold front will push to our south and stall today. High temperatures today should stay in the 80s with a mix of sun and clouds. There is a slight chance we could see an isolated shower or storm inland this afternoon but most places will stay dry. High pressure will start to strengthen Thursday and will control our weather through the weekend. This will bring sunshine and a heat wave. High temperatures will be back into the 80s and low 90s Thursday, then low to mid 90s Friday. Over the weekend high temperatures away from the coast will heat into the upper 90s. The strong, hot high pressure should start to weaken by the middle of next week.
