Near record heat starts Friday

The warm up started today, and it will be even hotter tomorrow. Tonight will be mainly clear, warm and muggy with low temperatures near 70. High pressure will control our weather for the next week, bringing plenty of sunshine and hot, humid weather. High temperatures will be close to record highs for the next week. The sea breeze on Saturday will be a little stronger, and will keep temperatures in the 80s along the Grand Strand. Otherwise, expect high temperatures in the 90s through the weekend and for most of next week.
