Our stretch of triple digit heat and record high temperatures has come to an end. It will still be hot today, but not record heat, and we will cool down a little for the weekend. Plus, there will be a chance for some rain this afternoon/evening. The high pressure that brought the heat wave this week has moved off shore. A cold front will move through tonight with scattered late evening thunderstorms. This will bring in slightly cooler weather for the weekend. High temperatures today will be in the low to mid 90s, then cool to the 80s and low 90s over the weekend. Another cold front will move through late Sunday night, cooling us even more for next week. Temperatures will stay closer to normal into mid week, but it will stay mainly dry, with not much chance for rain until the end of the week
