Heavy Rain Friday

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect ahead of Friday’s heavy rain. A slow moving storm system with lots of rain will move across the Carolinas tomorrow and Saturday. Clouds will thicken up this evening with rain arriving after midnight. This rain will be heavy at times tomorrow and tomorrow night with 2-5 inches of rain expected. Rain will linger into Saturday, especially in the morning, then skies will start to clear as the storm system moves away. It will be warm this weekend, even with the rain. High temperatures will be in the upper 60s to near 70 tomorrow and Saturday, then in the mid 60s on Sunday with some sunshine. Once we dry out Sunday, it will stay dry for the first half of next week. It will cool a little bit by the middle of next week.

Tonight, cloudy and mild with rain arriving late. Lows 46 inland, 50 beaches.

Tomorrow, windy and warmer with heavy rain and thunderstorms. Highs 68 inland, 70 beaches.

Saturday, morning showers, then afternoon clearing. Highs in the mid 60s.
