We will be warming up over the next few days, but it will come with heavy rain on Friday. It will be cold again tonight, but not quite as cold as last night with most places staying above freezing. High pressure will move offshore tonight, turning winds around to the south tomorrow. This will allow temperatures to warm into the low 60s tomorrow, then 60s to near 70 on Friday. A slow moving storm system will bring rain to the Carolinas Thursday night through Saturday morning. Rain will be heavy at times Friday and Friday night, and we will see 2-5 inches of rain. This heavy rain will lead to rises in our already full or flooding rivers next week, and moderate to major river flooding is possible. The storm system will move away this weekend with clearing on Sunday. It will stay mild through Monday, then cool down for the middle of next week.
