A Weather Alert Day remains in effect for Friday. A healthy line of storms will move in during the afternoon hours and could produce numerous, widespread damaging wind gusts from 40 to 60 mph. Trees could be blown over. Heavy rain will accompany the thunderstorms but the rain should move through quickly, so flooding is only a minor concern.
Before tomorrow, a nice day is in store for us. Today we’ll see a mixture of sun and clouds with highs in the low 80s away from the coast. Clouds and moisture will increase tonight. A few showers and a rumble of thunder is possible tomorrow morning but the severe threat increases in the afternoon.
Behind the front, temps cool off and we dry out for the weekend. Saturday highs will be well below average and only in the 60s. Easter Sunday highs will climb into the low to mid 70s as a warming trend kicks off. Temps will be back in the 80s for next week. Rain chances should hold off for much of the week as well.
