Much colder air will filter into the Carolinas tonight after today’s cold front. Winds will stay elevated overnight as the colder air continues to filter in. Morning temps will be in the mid to upper 30s. Highs on Tuesday will be much colder (50s) as well despite lots of sunshine. While a cold night is expected tonight, even colder temps arrive behind a secondary, reinforcing cold front Tuesday. Highs Wednesday will only rise into the mid to upper 40s and overnight lows will flirt with the upper 20s inland. Temperatures start to moderate some back to normal Friday and Saturday ahead of our next storm system that will arrive Saturday night with rain.

Tuesday: Sunny and chilly. Highs 54 inland, 56 beaches.
Wednesday: Sunny and cold. Highs in the upper 40s.
