High pressure stays in control one more day before rain chances return. After a cool start this morning with morning lin the to low to mid 30s, sunshine will warm temps into the mid to upper 50s. Temps begin a warming trend with highs near 70 by Friday.
Rain chances will also slowly increase with an unsettled pattern developing by Thursday afternoon. Showers will be likely in the eastern Carolinas Thursday and into Friday with a cold front approaching from the west. The cold front will stall just off shore Saturday. We could see a brief break in the showers Saturday afternoon as the cold front sits offshore. The front, however, meanders back north as a storm system develops along it Saturday night and increases rain chances again for Sunday and the beginning of the week.
