After another cool start, we will see a nice warm up today. High pressure will control our weather through Thursday, and will move offshore today. This will bring a light southwest wind which will start to warm us up. Humidity will increase tonight and Thursday. Friday is a WEATHER ALERT DAY for the potential for severe thunderstorms. The Storm Prediction Center has placed our area in the “enhanced” risk for severe storms, this is level 3 out of 5. A strong cold front will move through late in the day, bringing rain and thunderstorms. There is potential for damaging wind gusts, heavy rain, and even tornadoes. The severe weather will move away Friday night, but scattered showers will linger into Saturday as cooler weather returns. High pressure will build in Sunday, and bring sunny weather into next week.
