Walmart and Sam’s Club are launching a consumer campaign to assist the areas affected by Florence, according to a press release. 

The company will match costumer donations two-to-one, up two $5 million in cash donations for disaster response and recovery. 

Starting Saturday customers will be able to donate in stores and online. The money will go to supporting local relief efforts including supporting shelter, food, comfort and emergency assistance for those in need. 

“Our associates and friends have been significantly impacted by this devastating storm,” said Dan Bartlett, executive vice president of corporate affairs for Walmart Inc. “We’ve seen over the years that our customers all across the country stand ready to help their fellow citizens when mother nature hits. So we’re proud to provide a way to support their generosity during this great time of need.”

In addition to matching customer donations, the company is also pledging $500,000 in donations to immediate relief.
