Just under 2 weeks before the start of hurricane season, Sub-Tropical Storm Andrea formed south of Bermuda on Monday becoming the first named storm of the 2019 Hurricane season.
As of 5am on Tuesday, very little change is strength or track from Andrea. Current winds at 40mph moving north at 6mph. Pressure is now 1007mb. During the past few hours, deep convection has waned considerably, likely due to the entrainment of dry mid level air from the south along with some vertical wind shear.
Andrea is not expected to strengthen much, in fact by Wednesday, Andrea is forecasted to turn more east northeast and weakend. Andrea is no threat to the U.S.
