The 2018 Atlantic Hurricane season is here and that means a clean slate of names for tropical storms and hurricanes. After each season, the list of names is recycled and then re-used every six years. All names are maintained by the World Meteorological Organization. If a storm has a significant enough of an impact, the name is retired and a new name is chosen to replace it.
Keep in mind, whether we get through only a few, all 21 names or more on this list, it only takes one storm to impact our area. Be prepared.
