Florence, SC (WBTW) – Wilson interim girls basketball coach Jessica Gerald was promoted to the positon of head coach this morning by the school. This was first reported by the Florence Morning News. Gerald was hired as an assistant coach at the beginning of the season and replaced Gerrin Harrison and took the interim role, but now will continue to lead the Tigers for the foreseeable future. The Tigers are 21-2 and their only losses came to Myrtle Beach during the regular season. Wilson will play for a state championship on Saturday night in Columbia against North Augusta, who beat them in last season’s 4A title game, 61-37.
