Skyview Atlanta: A unique look at the Super Bowl bedecked city

ATLANTA (NEXSTAR) — Skyview Atlanta is a Ferris wheel strategically located in Centennial Olympic Park, providing its passengers with a unique skyline view of the city.

Atlanta is all dressed up for Super Bowl LIII.

During Super Bowl week, the attraction decided to deck out 32 of its 42 climate-controlled gondolas with each NFL team’s logos for the first time. And each gondola will take you to the top to see some breathtaking views.

“We’re 200 feet in the air, that’s how high we are so it makes us special because you can see all of Atlanta being that high in the air,” Skyview Atlanta Asst. Manager Minyon Burks said. “You can see the State Farm Arena, you can see the Georgia Aquarium, the park.”

So we decided to take a look ourselves. A few minutes later, all of Atlanta was beneath our feet and thankfully it was also a hit with Super Bowl fans of all ages who got a bird’s eye view of the city.

“It was weird at first because we stopped at the top and it’s high. We saw the aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola, the Olympic Ring,” Lincoln Lange from Charlotte, North Carolina said.

Buddy Phillips and his wife came from Grayson, Georgia.

“This is my wife’s first time riding. I was doing the pictures. I’m scared of heights, but this is amazing with all the Super Bowl, I mean with all the NFL teams, oh this is great. This is great,” Phillips said.
