Hemingway, SC (WBTW) — Carvers Bay running back Toronto King is our Pee Dee blitz player of the week for week zero after setting a new school record for rushing yards in a game.
King had a career day after rushing for 325 yards and getting into the end zone five times in the Bears 81-14 win over Waccamaw. As the season continues to progress King has the goal of not only getting Coach Nate Thompson a state championship, but also rushing for over 3,000 yards and averaging at least 300 per game.
The Bears have the week off before returning to action on the road next week against Georgetown.
