GREEN SEA, SC (WBTW) – The Green Sea Floyds high school football team won their first ever state championship back in December, a 26-20 victory over 2018 state champ Lamar. Head coach Donnie Kiefer and his squad celebrated with their awards banquet on Tuesday night as the guys received shirts, plaques, and of course those big championship rings. A program that’s struggled throughout most of its history has turned the corner the last couple seasons and looks to be a power in the SCHSL Class A ranks in the years to come.
They will open the 2019 season Friday, August 23 at West Columbus (NC)
