BENNETTSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – For the last 2 decades, Marlboro County athletics have been in good hands with Dean Boyd.  But recently Boyd left to take the same position as his alma mater of York High School in the upstate.  On Monday, the Bulldogs did fill that void with Bobby Collins, this according to the school district’s twitter page.  Collins comes to Bennettsville after spending the last 5 years at Lancaster High School in the Midlands.  Collins led the Bruins to the 4A playoffs in 2018 with a 6-5 record.  He will inherit a team rich in tradition and that went 7-4 in 2018 getting to the 2nd round of the postseason.
