Murrells Inlet, SC (WBTW) – Former CCU golfer, current PGA tour member, and the world’s number 1 golfer Dustin Johnson was at the TPC Myrtle Beach course in Murrells Inlet to break ground on a new state of the art golf building. The construction of the 3,100 square foot building will be complete by Memorial Day and the facility will serve as the home for the Dustin Johnson Golf School and the Dustin Johnson foundation. The 17-time PGA winner and major champion is from Columbia and played collegially at Coastal Carolina.
The new building will have six indoor hitting bays, 3 covered hitting areas, a fitness center, and room to provide instructional seminars.
This weekend the Dustin Johnson World Golf Junior Championships will be taking place at the TPC Myrtle Beach with some of the best young minds and golfers competing in the 3-day event starting on Friday.
