CONWAY, SC – The CCU baseball team hit the field for the first time in 2019 on Friday. There will be plenty of new faces as they lose power hitters like Woody Woodall, Matt Beaird, and Seth Lancaster. This year’s squad will be pitcher rich and depend on timely hitting and speed around the basepaths with guys like Cory Wood, Zach Biermann, Parker Chavers, and Cameron Piercy.
The Chants won the Sun Belt regular season and championship titles in 2018, they also hosted an NCAA regional in Conway back in June.
6 of the team’s first 8 games will be at home.
