A helmet signed by a single Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee could fetch thousands of dollars on the auction floor.
But what about a helmet signed by more than a hundred of them?
In Wednesday’s episode of Big Game Bound: Live from Atlanta, David Hunt of Hunt Auctions brought a helmet signed by 111 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees to the set.
Hunt says it’s difficult to put a sticker-price on an item with such a remarkable number of signatures from football legends, though some believe it could be sold for more than $15,000.
“This person really went to town,” Hunt said of the individual who helped gather the 111 autographs. “If you think about the effort and time, not even the money portion of it, just to find all those different people and get them to sign it, it’s just an incredible piece.”
Hunt Auctions and NFL Auction are hosting the 11th Annual Super Bowl Live Auction Event, with items from the personal collections of Brian Dawkins and Reggie White. Rams and Patriots items will be featured for the Big Game, but nearly a thousand items from every NFL team will be available.
