ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) – A 6-month old Labrador mix now named Brody is recovering at an animal hospital in Rock Hill after someone shot him with a BB gun leaving 18 pellets lodged in his skin and muscle.
Local media outlets reports that police responded to an apartment complex late Sunday afternoon after a utility worker reported a group of as many as 20 juveniles were playing with a black puppy.
The officer found the dog was bleeding.
The youngsters told him someone had shot and stabbed the puppy. A veterinarian said the dog was not stabbed but did have intestinal parasites.
Workers at the Ebenezer Animal Hospital dubbed the puppy Brody.
