Wrestling legend ‘American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes dies at age 69

Professional wrestling legend Dusty Rhodes died Thursday at the age of 69, according to a tweet WWE.

Rhodes, whose real name was Virgil Runnels, was known by millions of fans as the ‘American Dream.’

The 6’2″ 275 pound Rhodes was from Austin, Texas and the “Bionic Elbow” was his best known signature move in the ring.

According to the WWE.com, Rhodes was a former NWA World Champion; NWA World Tag Team Champion; United States Champion; NWA Television Champion and was inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007.
