MAXTON, NC (WBTW) – The Robeson County Sheriff’f Office identified the woman whose body was found in some woods near Maxton Sunday.
Sheriff Kenneth Sealy said the woman was Evelina Dial, 23, of Maxton.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine how she died.
Deputies arrested Timothy Locklear, 27, of Maxton with first degree murder, attempted first degree rape, burning personal property, and altering and destroying evidence.
Locklear was denied bond.
