SAVANNAH, GA – A Florida woman survived after she was dragged under a tractor trailer on I-95 Northbound in Liberty County.
According to GSP Trooper Carl Hutchinson, the woman told authorities she may have fallen asleep and when she woke she snatched the wheel of her white Dodge Stratus and found herself wedged under an 18 wheeler tractor trailer.
According to Hutchinson, she was dragged 858 feet before the tractor stopped on the side of the interstate near mile marker 77.
The woman who was described in her late 20 received minor injuries and was taken to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.
Hutchinson said she was smiling after making it through the ordeal.
