A woman told police that 2 women cut in line in Belk’s on Friday afternoon and then argued with the victim before spitting on her and “chest bumping” the victim outside the store, Conway police said.
Conway Police responded around 2:15 pm Friday to a report of a an assault that occurred outside of Belk’s located at 1600 Church Street located in Conway.
The incident began when the victim and two witnesses were standing in line and two women cut in line at the cash register inside Belk’s.
Some words were exchanged — in which a witness told police it was actually a misunderstanding. However, the exchange of words apparently made the two women who cut in line mad.
“the victim … stated that the suspect got upset about comments made inside the store and told the victim she would be waiting for her outside,” Conway Police said in a press release.
“The victim reported that once outside the suspect confronted her verbally and then assaulted her by bumping her chest and spitting on (the victim) as she walked away,” Conway Police said.
The victim reports that the suspect approached her again near her vehicle and made threats against her life, according to police
The suspect was possibly riding in a white in color vehicle and fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival. During the investigation video surveillance was obtained and attached are two photographs of the suspect and the person that drove the suspect from the scene.
The female that committed the assault is described as possibly being 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall and approximately 150 lbs with blonde hair.
She is also described as possibly being 35-45 years of age. In the photographs she is the female in the blue sweater
