Woman killed on SC interstate may have been pushed out of van

BOWMAN, S.C. (AP) – Authorities are investigating the death of the daughter of a Richland County deputy who may have been pushed out of a van on Interstate 26 in Orangeburg County.

Media outlets report the Orangeburg Sheriff’s Department says 21-year-old Dominique Davis of Columbia was struck and killed on the roadway near Bowman Monday night. A witness told investigators that Davis may have pushed out of the van she was traveling in before being struck by a semi-truck.
