A woman is dead and the another person is injured after a car crash that happened on highway 701 near Poplar Church Road.
According to State Highway Patrol, the driver crashed a Chevy truck into a mailbox and drove into a ditch where the truck flipped around ten pm last night.
The passenger, 17-year-old Chassidy McDowell died on scene and the driver was taken to the hospital with injuries.
Neither passengers were wearing seat belts. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
