A woman was arrested and charged after a robbery at a Conway Waffle House.
According to an incident report from the Conway Police Department, officers responded to the Waffle House at 2905 Church Street in Conway for a report of an armed robbery around 1:34 a.m. on Monday. Upon arriving, officers spoke with complainants, who said they were just robbed.
Both complainants described a white female who drove up, parked her vehicle, and walked in to the restaurant, the release says. The woman, identified in the report as 34-year-old Asmie Nichole Backus, of Conway, reportedly walked up to the cash register and after she was greeted by one of the complainants, said she was robbing them and pulled her hand out from her sweatshirt. The woman demanded money from the register, and the complainants opened the drawer and backed away. The woman reportedly took money from the drawer and walked out.
J. Reuben Long Detention Center booking records show Backus is charged with armed robbery and failure to stop for blue light. Her bond is set at about $15,000.
