A woman allegedly spat on an officer while she was being taken into custody following a traffic stop on F Street in North Hartsville.
According to the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office, investigators pulled the woman over at around 7 p.m. Friday. During the stop, they discovered the woman had a suspended drivers license. While investigators attempted to take the woman into custody she spat on an SC Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services Agent’s face and vest.
That agent was assisting the investigators.
Nine schedule II pills were located during the traffic stop.
The Sheriff’s Office identifies the woman as 23-year-old Ju’Quesha Ta’Sha Bishop. She has been charged with assaulting a police officer while resisting arrest, driving under suspension and possession of a controlled substance.
Bishop is currently out of jail on a $27,000 bond. She is currently serving a two-year probation sentence for assault and battery, first degree.
