MOULTON, Ala. – A Lawrence County woman is facing animal cruelty charges after she admitted to killing her estranged husband’s dog and using its blood to fake a miscarriage.
On Wednesday, Johnny Parker says he received a call from his 7-month pregnant wife, Anita Parker, saying she was cramping and had called 911. When he arrived at home, he found his wife in bed covered in blood. She told him she had a miscarriage and flushed the stillborn baby down the toilet. Parker took his wife to the hospital where doctors informed him that his wife was never pregnant. When he went home, he noticed his 8-month old Chihuahua puppy was missing.
“Got to looking for my Chihuahua…found it in the garbage.. the crazy woman had gutted the dog and used the blood all over my bed, like she had a miscarriage. Told them she flushed the 7-month-old baby down the toilet. Ain’t no way.” –Johnny Parker
Anita Parker is being held in the Lawrence County Jail on a $7,000 bond. Parker could face more charges for calling 911 when there was no emergency.
