MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA) – A missing Wisconsin teen whose parents were found dead in their home may have been spotted in Miami.

An AMBER Alert was issued Monday for 13-year-old Jayme Closs after she was discovered missing from her home in Barron, Wisconsin.

Deputies went to the family’s home after dispatchers received a 911 call from an unknown person at around 1 a.m. Monday.

Deputies found the bodies of Jayme Closs’ parents, who were later identified by the sheriff’s department as 56-year-old James Closs and his 46-year-old wife, Denise Closs.

Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said there had been gunshots, but he stopped short of saying that’s how the couple died.

An AMBER Alert was then issued for Jayme Closs. The FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children are searching for the missing teen who is not considered a suspect in her parents’ deaths.

Early Tuesday morning, the Miami Police Department said Jayme may have been spotted on Monday.

The teen may have been seen in a black Ford Explorer with a possible license plate of I60WER.

She may have been seen in the area of NW 27th Avenue and 11th Street.

Miami police want people to call 911 immediately if they have seen her.

Authorities have released the following description of Jayme Closs:

  • Strawberry-blonde hair
  • Green eyes
  • 5 ft. tall
  • Weighs 100 lbs.
  • No clothing description

Barron is about 80 miles northeast of Minneapolis.
