CBS NEWS – If you struggle losing weight on certain diets, it might not be you..Blame it on genetics! Researchers tested mice with four different genetic strains to see how they responded to four different diets; a traditional Japanese diet, Mediterranean diet, high-fat, low carb diet and typical western diet. Putting preschoolers to bed early can lower their risk of obesity as teens. That’s the finding of Ohio State researchers who found children who go to bed by 8pm are far less likely to become obese. They say children who went to bed at 9 pm or later doubled their likelihood of obesity. SOURCE – The Journal of Pediatrics/MedDay/CBS
If you are- overweight or obese, your risk of dying prematurely is higher. Researchers from Harvard University and the University of Cambridge found the more extra pounds you have, the greater the risk. But being too thin is also not healthy.
