However, in a campaign where one in four Americans dislike both of the major party candidates, third parties gain traction.
The Green Party’s candidate Jill Stein is running in her second presidential election. She’s a physician and environmental activist.
Notably, she was arrested during her protest of the controversial Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota in September.
In 2012, Stein only earned 0.36 percent of the popular vote. Her campaign’s platform is to provide people, peace and the planet over profits.
