When undergoing surgery — which is better — daytime or nighttime?

CBS NEWS – A new study suggests patients operated on at night are twice as likely to die as those undergoing surgery during regular business hours. That’s according to researchers in Canada. Doctors examined surgical data gathered over a five-year period and found even people who had surgeries late in the day had a higher mortality risk. SOURCE – McGill University/MedDay/CBS

Scientists at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine say they’ve identified a key chemical characteristic in the blood of chronic fatigue syndrome patients… similar to a state of *hibernation*. New data from Brigham and Women’s Hospital indicates some radiologists can detect breast cancer in the blink of an eye.
